Fine artist and printmaker from Fife, Scotland.
Graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee in 2017.
Driven by an interest in the mundane, my practice focuses on celebrating everyday life and everyday pleasures, and the seemingly 'unremarkable' stories and secrets of generations growing up on the East coast of Scotland - as well as some miscellaneous prints of things I like.
Inspired by local cultural references, dialects and auld Scottish tales; by the boxes of photos stashed away in cupboards, the music that filled our family home, and documenting snippets of conversations, my work hopes to glorify the quiet, common lives lived, and commemorate all the jives jived - whether that be at the Barrowlands wearing your best dancing shoes, or in your living room in your beaten-in baffies.*
* Baffies = a Scots word for ‘slippers’, soft footwear to be worn indoors.
