Brenda, Agnes and Steve are 'The Grandmothers of Methil'... A band of pensioners from Levenmouth, Fife - an area made up of several ex-mining towns overlooking the Forth - home to Methil dockyard, Leven beach and several supermarkets including an Aldi.
Baffies at the ready and surrounded by their home comforts - an armchair, a teapot and countless objects found abundantly in pensioners homes - the band set out on their 2018 Scottish Tour, following the success of their LP ‘The Family Jam’, released the previous year.
This section has become an archive of photographs, objects and documentation from their short-lived musical career after The Grandmothers ‘called it a day’ and disbanded in early 2019 - the members eager to return to their slower pace of life, and to get back to watching repeats of their beloved ‘Poirot’ on ITV.
